Sustainable microfinance for development is promoted by a rural bank in Northern Togo which runs in collaboration with a Flemish NGO

30 Years ago, a cereal-bank/savings scheme (Dapaong, Northern Togo) brought together 450 people in 30 savings' groups. This research and development-initiated experience has now developed into a rural bank with several millions of euro of assets, 300 employees, and outreach to 60,000 customers. The initiative runs in collaboration with a Flemish NGO (Vredeseilanden).
