Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) is a breakthrough analytical technique for the real-time measurement of trace-gases. It allows monitoring of the dynamic behaviour of volatile organic compounds (VOC).
The fast and reliable measurement of VOCs is important for the evaluation of waste gas reduction techniques, measurement of reaction products, and emission from building materials. Illustrations are for example the dynamics of perfumes during wash cycles or emissions of natural volatiles from fruit, trees etc.
